We were thrilled when the guys from The Shades told us they wanted our help with creating a submission for the NPR Tiny Desk Concert Series. Check out this beautiful acoustic rendition of their song ‘The Path Without’ performed live in the Big Foot Media office!
I have a love/hate relationship with wetlands.
A wetland is one of those places where a human just shouldn’t go. There’s nothing glamorous about a wetland. They can smell bad. They’re filled with all sorts of creepy, crawly creatures and poisonous things. And of course, they’re wet – if you’ve ever walked on a floating bog you know to tread lightly as to avoid finding yourself in a sinkhole with your boots filling with water.
Musicians are some of our favorite people. They tend to be such creative and open-minded people, who appreciate storytelling just as much as we do. Add craft beer and good food to that equation, and that pretty much equals our heaven.
We had the chance to help our friends at Illinois Craft Brewers Guild launch a whole new series, we’re calling the Brewmaster Series. This is a chance for us to sit down and have a conversation with Illinois Brewers. In this first episode, we got a chance to talk about barrel-aged beer on the heels of one of our biggest events, the Festival of Barrel and Wood-Aged Beers a.k.a. FOBAB. You’ll get to hear from Pipeworks Brewing’s “Strong” Mike Schallau, Off Color Brewing’s John Laffler, Revolution Brewing’s Wil Turner and Temperance Beer Company’s Claudia Jendron as they talk about the process of barrel-aging, the craft behind it, and how it all leads up to the actual FOBAB event.
This is our second live Greenstar Session featuring local Chicago artists, the Mutts, with the song “If It’s Hot It’ll Sell.” We loved these guys’ unique sound and eclectic energy. They certainly kept us on our toes, especially when jumping up on their stool and playing the keyboard with their feet!
We were super proud to be a part of creating this year’s Better Together Day video for our client, The Interfaith Youth Core. IFYC‘s marketing team knew they wanted to do something that would capture people’s attention and inspire them to participate. In order to do just that, they decided on an animated piece with an original score by Ross Crean.
