When one of Big Foot Media's favorite artists, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, created a video contest they naturally jumped at the opportunity. The contest was to create a music video for the instrumental track "BomBom" off their platinum selling album The Heist. Big Foots approach was to use the beautiful landscape of Northern Michigan and the marvelous city of Chicago as their backdrop as they explored the visual parallels in these unique spaces. The contest winners will be determined on April 8th and the winning team will receive two VIP tickets, roundtrip flights, and a hotel room to the Sasquatch! Music Festival taking place Memorial Day weekend in George, Washington. Good Luck to all those who entered!

Big Foot Media Spotted at Chicago Beer Festival!

Big Foot Mediawas asked to cover this years Chicago Beer Festival held at the historic Union Station in downtown Chicago. The crew had a blast, sampling some tasty brews, meeting some great people and, of course, shooting some awesome video! There was a decent amount of Chicago Brewers representing the growing craft beer scene here in the city including Pipeworks Brewing Co., Atlas Brewing, Ale Syndicate, Lake Effect Brewing, 5 Rabbits and more!

Big Foot was far from elusive. He stood around 5 feet tall and was posing in just about every picture taken there!

Chicago’s Got a New Bottler in Town

We followed around Begyle Brewing for a couple days to capture what it takes for a small brewery, to put its beer into 22oz bombers. They had a lot of fun building their home made bottler and bottling Flannel Pajamas and Crash Landed. And we had fun shooting and "testing" it.

Begyle Brewing had a kickoff party at West Lakeview Liquors where they got the chance to sell their first bottles as well as pour samples for people to try before they bought. On their first day of sales, Chicagoans weren't the only ones to get their hands on them.

"Christina at West Lakeview Liquors does online sales as well", explains Matt Ritchey, brewmaster at Begyle Brewing, "She sold bottles to Denmark! It was really cool to hear that in the first half hour of sales our beer was making it halfway around the world."

Now Begyle beer is available for you to take home!

Big Foot Media Drinks Up!

Big Foot Media has documented the first seasonal brew that Begyle Brewing and Allium Restaurant at the Four Seasons, Chicago have collaborated on. "Beta Beer" is the first of, you guessed it, four seasonal collaborations. "Beta Beer" is to be paired with Chef Kevin Hickeys autumn flavors and features Siagon Cinnamon, Bangladesh Bayleaves, and Sugar beets. Enough of me rambling, just watch they video... they are the ones that know what they are talking about!

Big Foot Films participates in it’s second 48 Hour Film Project

This is the big one everybody, the 48 Hour Film Project: Detroit. Our entry last year... "Maybe Tomorrow", a dark comedy seemed right in Big Foot's wheelhouse. This year we took a step out of our normal filmmaking realm by drawing Sci-Fi as our genre.

"M.A.M.A." was born. "M.A.M.A." is a story based in the future where the entire population is controlled by one computer for convenience, stability and the greater good. M.A.M.A. takes some drastic action when she starts making decisions on her own. Using the elements given, (Mary or Marvin Greenberg - Computer Genius, Nail Clippers, and the line "Mama told me not to come") Big Foot Films have finished their 10th, count 'em, TENTH film!

Having never got our hands on a high-speed camera yet, I am constantly salivating at the possibilites. Part of me just wants to throw water in the air, just to giggle with excitement that I can see every water droplet, you know just do the things that you know have cool results. At The Marmalade in Germany, they take the normal everyday... and make it look INCREDIBLE. Custom building rigs and using a programmable camera still don't make it effortless to get the perfect shot. Check out the video and prepare to be WOWED.
